The season is starting!

28^th of April 2015, Sea Spirit Diving Resort cleaned up the Isola Bella Marine Park together with the Lega Navale Italiana. It was a huge success with a lot of debris gathered under water and on the beach of Isola Bella as well. More than 100 children helped to clean the beach and together we achieved our goal to create Awareness amongst the young people of today.

In the beginning of May we organized a night dive for our PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Students from UK. It was one of the best night-dives ever done with a lot of beautiful creatures to be seen. One of the fishes we saw is the ‘flying gurnard’ which spreads his ‘wings’ when he moves. As we lit our torches and shone the light on the wings it created a wonderful effect of blue and green. Furthermore, we saw a big barracuda, loads of octopus and cuttlefishes. Our ‘night-dive’ spot is located under the Cape of Taormina. After the dive we enjoyed a short navigation of 15 minutes back to the harbour seeing the hundreds of light of ‘Taormina-by-night’. Simply magical…

Furthermore we welcomed more (new) divers to the Diving-family by completing PADI Open Water Diver Courses and Advanced Open Water Diver Courses. We even had the privilege to do a ‘girls-only-dive’! Yes, some girls go swimming, REAL girls go diving!

A week ago, we welcomed the new boat of Sea Spirit at the harbour of Giardini-Naxos. We are really proud to realize this project and offer more space and more service to our customers. Our new boat is an 8 meter long RIB (LOMAC) with a 200hp engine. Half may we also received our new compressor which is a super-silent Colti compressor (300l per minute) so we are ready for the season!
