The PADI Scuba Diver course is the first level of international scuba certification designed for those who have limited time but want to start diving with a degree of independence, though with some restrictions. It’s like a basic “scuba license,” positioned between the Discover Scuba Diving experience (a try dive in the water) and the Open Water Diver course (the first full-level certification).

Key features of the PADI Scuba Diver Course:

• Shorter duration: around 2–3 days (instead of 4–5 for the Open Water).
• Diving limits: allows you to dive up to 12 meters, always accompanied by a PADI professional (Divemaster or Instructor).
• Internationally recognized certification.
• Minimum age: 10 years old.
• Theory sessions: includes the first 3 chapters of the PADI Open Water manual.
• Practical training:
  • 3 confined water sessions (pool or similar environment)
  • 2 open water dives (in the sea or a lake)

The course includes access to all diving center services, including tank refills and rental or purchase of equipment. Once certified, you can continue your scuba journey at any time with the PADI Open Water Diver course or explore other specialties such as Project AWARE or Equipment Specialist.
