Carmelo Furnari

Carmelo, nickname Carmelo Junior, discovers diving and becomes passionate about it in 2015 when he starts diving in Sicily, his home. He joined Sea Spirit, obtaining the PADI Divemaster certification in August 2018 and continues his professional training as an PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor in October 2018 with Carmelo Sgroi, PADI Platinum Course Director. From 2019 onwards, he joined our staff becoming one of the main instructors and main skipper. Carmelo led more than 100 people to discover the underwater world during the PADI Bubblemaker, PADI Discover Scuba Diving, PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver and PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver programs. At Sea Spirit you will usually find him driving one of our boats and teaching people to dive with his confident and optimistic attitude and always ready to take care of everyone. In 2019, he also grew into a tec diver and in 2021 Carmelo will become a PADI Tec Instructor.   Carmelo speaks italian and english.
