Becoming a PADI Specialty Instructor allows you to teach targeted, high-demand courses and provide your students with focused, in-depth experiences. It’s an important step to stand out as a professional, expand your teaching portfolio, and move toward the Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) level.

At Sea Spirit Diving Resort, a PADI 5 Star Career Development Center in Taormina, you can earn your instructor certification in one or more specialties, with direct support from our PADI Platinum Course Director Carmelo Sgroi and a team trained in-house.

Course Structure

Each Specialty Instructor course includes:

• Theoretical and practical workshops, focusing on standards, course organization, and safety
• Teaching simulations, briefings, and evaluations
• A minimum of two open water dives, where required by PADI standards
• Analysis of teaching materials, logistics, and student management

You can choose to take a single specialty or a customized multi-specialty package.

Participation Requirements

• Be an active PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor
• In some cases, personal certification in the specialty is required before instructor level (e.g., Nitrox, Dry Suit, Sidemount)
